What is your role at Med Supply?
I am a certified orthotist. Basically I do upper extremity and lower extremity bracing, evaluations, casting, measurements.
Why did you become an orthotist?
I enjoy helping people, that’s one of the primary reasons. It also fits in with doing things with my hands and evaluating a situation, then coming up with the best solution to be able to help someone.
How long have you been at Med Supply?
I’ve been at Med Supply for a little over 2 years.
What are you personally excited about at Med Supply?
The business is growing, and I’d like to think that I’m a part in helping to do that. The landscape is changing, and healthcare is constantly evolving. We are coming up with new bracing options and materials.
How has your job changed over the course of the pandemic?
A lot more mask wearing, more PPE, getting my nose swabbed and temperature taken constantly.
You do house calls?
I do house calls, I also go to PT clinics. The majority of the stuff I do is in facilities; nursing homes and rehab centers.
What has been your favorite part about working at Med Supply so far?
Honestly, the people. You know, it’s a good group of people here, it’s a family friendly company. If I have something going on with my kids or if I need to leave a little early for a day, it’s encouraged and also supported.
